16s Development
After six months of training and playing 8 games the 16’s Development carnival finished on Tuesday 17 April with our last game against East Fremantle. The boys have worked very hard since November, work which gave them the edge on most of their opponents, the 16’s won 6 of their 8 games only really being outclassed by a slick South Fremantle side.
The development both on and off the field of these young men has been amazing, their skills, fitness and attitude towards the game and each other has outstanding. They were a great team to manage and have done themselves and the club very proud. We also had 11 country players in this team 9 from the southwest and 2 from the Pilbara.
To wrap up the 16’s Development program we are having a player feedback evening on April 26th at Steel Blue from 5pm-7pm , all welcome meals are available on the night. At the conclusion of the carnival a State Academy squad was selected – We are very proud to announce and congratulate the following players on their Selection. Aidan Anderson , Connor Blakely, Chris Firns and Lindsay Murray. Nelson Ansey and Warwick Wilson were also named in the Pilbara State Academy.
These players now enter an elite program , which starts with a camp next week. Finally I would just like to thank all the players and parents for the support over the last 6 months it has been an absolute privilege to be involved with such fantastic young men. We all should be very proud of them.

INITIAL COACHES INTRO
Welcome to the Swan Districts 16s Development for 2012. I would like to take the opportunity to welcome all players and supporters to this page as a way of communicating to you all.
I am looking forward to working with a very talented and exciting group of young men and very lucky to have the support and assistance of some quality people, including Steve Thomson, Trent Davies and Rick Anderson Manager. All of which will have an important and integral role in developing our young players.
I have had many years coaching experience including community football, amateur football and Swan Districts Development.
The 2012 carnival looks to be an exciting and challenging one for the players and the coaches. All the coaches will be working very hard to ensure that the development of our players is our priority, to assist them reach their potential.
