About
The Metropolitan Region Scheme (MRS) is the legal land plan covering urban planning throughout the Perth Metropolitan Region. It classifies land into broad zones and reservations and is administered by the Western Australian Planning Commission.
The Metropolitan Region Scheme Boundary extends down to the coastal suburb of Singleton and stretches up the coast as far north as Two Rocks then east to Muchea and Wooroloo. From Wooroloo it spreads south down to the small town of Karnet and back across to Singleton. Therefore all the suburbs in between make up the Metropolitan Area.
The Swan Districts Football Club Metropolitan zone or district is made up of Suburbs, which are mainly located in the North Eastern region of the Metropolitan area. This being in the north to Muchea across to Wooroloo and extending down to Pickering Brook and then taking in Kalamunda, Forrestfield, High Wycombe before heading back into Bassendean.
Working in such a vast area allows V Swans to work with and support the SDFC, SDJFDC (Junior Football Clubs), WAAFL (Amateur Football), the Aboriginal Community and the wider community to deliver Football Pathway Programs, Personal Development Programs, Educational Programs, Mentoring and Support Strategies to henance their prospects and opportunities for a strong sustainable future.
