Player Reports From Last Saturday Against Perth
Four Swan Districts and six Perth players have been charged with engaging in a melee during the third quarter of the League match between Swan Districts and Perth on Saturday 2nd June at Steel Blue Oval.
Jacob Coniglio, Rhys Palmer, Matt Riggio and Jesse Turner from Swans and Laine Wilkins, Corey Byrne, Clinton Jones, Ben Giobbi, Clayton Giblett and Mitchell Henderson from Perth have all been cited by the match review panel and charged with engaging in a melee. All players can accept a $50 sanction with an early plea. A first offence for engaging in a melee is a $100 financial sanction, but an early plea enables the players to accept a $50 sanction.
Also, Matt Rogers from Swans has been cited by the match review panel and charged with engaging in a melee. Matt can accept a $100 sanction with an early plea. A second and subsequent low level offence in the previous 12 months is a $200 financial sanction, but an early plea enables the player to accept a $100 sanction.
Both clubs are yet to respond to the Match Review Panel’s finding which were announced last night.
