Variety 4WD Trip
Monday, June 24, 2019 - 12:23 PM
Steve and Graeme Milligan visited three remote schools on the Dampier Peninsula for their Variety 4WD Trip and delivered Swan Districts football's and merchandise to the school noting that the most popular item anyone had was the Swans footy's!
The group raised $205,000 and while they were up there, they also presented 2 grants;
- One to the Kyle Andrews foundation – this was a young boy who lived in Broome that wanted other kids to be able to see the life he had up there and this grant will sponsor 4 sick kids to go to Broome and experience what the Broome lifestyle is about.
- The other to the Lombadina remote aboriginal community school. The donation will assist them setting up a hairdressing salon at the school to teach kids going through teenage years basic employment skills to work in a hairdressing salon.
The remainder of funds will go directly to Variety to help sick and underprivileged kids in WA. Well done guys!
