Soaring screamers and spectacular goals were the order of the day at the July School Holiday Clinic. The clinic, which was held on Monday, 5th July at Steel Blue Oval, Bassendean was a roaring success.
More than 300 boys and girls aged between 5 and 12 participated in drills ranging from bouncing to handballing, kicking, and marking, rucking and tackling. But, there was plenty of room left over for crowd favourites such as screamers, bumps and banana kicks.
The clinic took all comers with participants ranging from Auskick and Junior players to kids who have never played before. Some of the kids honed their skills, while others used the day to simply enjoy the fun activities on offer.
Participants enjoyed a scrumptious barbecue lunch before the arrival of the West Coast Eagles to much fanfare. Andrew Embley, Ashley Hansen and Tony Notte signed footballs, jumpers, shirts and posters to provide the perfect end to a busy day. The beaming smiles told the story as the kids exited the gates of Steel Blue Oval after an extremely successful day.
Swan Districts Football Club wishes to thank the kids who participated in the clinic and the parents who transported their kids safely to and from Steel Blue Oval. We would also like to thank all the volunteers including the Colts, U/16’s and Women’s players who took time out of their busy schedules to ensure that the day ran smoothly.
