Dreadlocked West Coast Eagles star Nic Naitanui visited St Leonards Private Estate in Daton recently to support junior community football in the Swans District. Naitanui was the star attraction at the Swan Districts Football Club (SDFC) Family Night, which was proudly supported by Aspen Living. “Nic took some time out of his busy schedule to show his support for junior football and provide some sage advice to young footballers from the Swans District. The night gave the fledgling footballers the perfect opportunity to speak to their local hero and see what it takes to play AFL,” said Swans District Manager, Isaac Stewart.
But, Naitanui wasn’t the only star attraction with master of the microphone, Dennis Commetti chiming in to promote St Leonard’s Private Estate and to discuss the key role that volunteers play in junior community football. SDFC players Adam Hunter, James Embley and Thomas Murphy, also swooped in to teach the kids some pointers on hand-balling, kicking and marking. Aspen Living made sure that the participating clubs didn’t go home empty-handed, donating swags of caps and footballs to the club president’s. The participating clubs hailed from Chittering, La Salle, Midvale, Mount Helena, Mundaring and Swan View,
