V Swans Deliver Holiday Program

The V Swans, along with casual Shire staff, have been busy in Onslow these school holidays delivering the Shire’s School Holiday program.
There have been various activities on offer, including arts and crafts, water fun days, sports and games, a movie night and fishing. Participants have turned up eager and energetic to the programs, left with a smile on their face and nearly always indirectly imparted a story for the staff to tell later in the day.
Of course, the highlights of the 3 week program would have to be the trip to Pannawonica pool and the beach kayaking day. Onslow kids made the quick transition to water creatures on both occasions, displaying an entertaining mixture of strokes and crashes with dives and splashes.
Wednesday the 25th turned out to be the last day of the program as pre-cyclone Iggy conditions put a stop on Australia Day’s activities, a small hiccup in an otherwise action packed 3 weeks.
