The Swan Districts WAFLW side will go into Round 1 with a very different looking team to the one that appeared in last year’s Grand Final.

The 2019 off-season recruiting drive appears to have already paid off for the Swan Districts league side, with up to four of their newcomers set to lace up the boots for their new club in Round 1 of the 2020 Optus WAFL Premiership season.

The Swan Districts Football Club continues to set the bar across the WAFLW competition after the official opening of their dedicated women’s change rooms.

Without having to share the existing change rooms, or be worried about one of the male players accidently walking through, females of all ages are now able to feel comfortable while getting dressed before and after games, or when preparing for training.

The Swan Districts Football Club had their final hit out against the Perth Demons at Mineral Resources Oval on Saturday 11th July, prior to the commencement of the 2020 Optus WAFL Season proper.

The Colts opened the day with a tight 7.7 (49) to 6.14 (50) victory.  After Perth started fast, teams could not put each other away, with the game rarely blowing out any further than a two-goal lead.
