Vale Keith Watt

Monday, January 24, 2022 - 3:54 PM

Swans Premiership player Keith Watt passed away this week – aged 84. Keith played 72 games between 1961 and 1964 and kicked 56 goals. A clever rover/ half-forward he was very quick and filled the same role in our hat-trick of premierships in 61-63. Named as Swans best player in the 1962 grand final, he was unlucky not to win the Simpson Medal which went to Ray Sorrell from East Fremantle. A champion player and a great part of our Clubs’ history – wearing the number 5 with pride.

We offer our sympathies to his family. Well played Keith – Rest In Peace.
