Sullivan Logistics January Talent Program

Over the course of the January school holidays, players from our 2022 14s development squad attended training sessions held at Steel Blue Oval. The 8 session program had been designed to allow our talented players to continue their development journey before returning to school.

In excess of 50 players took the opportunity to train with SDFC talent coaches each morning, resulting in several players dramatically improving their fundamentals.

“The boys have improved out of sight since we first saw them at Steel Blue back in August” Talent Manager Hayden Cobley said.

“Our development program’s focus heavily on the fundamental skills of the game and to see this group gain confidence session by session is a testament to their character, willingness to learn and capability to develop a growth mindset”.

This program would not be possible without the ongoing support from Tim and Leon Sullivan and the crew at Sullivan Logistics. We highly value the commitment Sullivan Logistics have made towards the Swans talent program over the last few years and are excited for what the future holds for our next generation of footballers.

Development squad players will now return to their schools and community football clubs in preparation for the 2023 season. Similar sessions will be run over the April & July school holidays before engaging our zones most talented 12-15 year olds players in August for our 14s and 15s development programs.
