The Swan Districts Women's Team is a valuable part of the Swan Districts Football Club. Celebrating their 8th year since they first merged Southern Thunder to Swan Districts, the team has grown and evolved and is now a highly respected club in the WAWFL. It's been an exciting couple of years for the Swans, with two premierships from the 2013 season, as well as a 2014 League premiership to add. The Swannies girls prode themselves on hard work, respect and team work, which they believe builds the foundation to the their success, on and off the field. Swan Districts have also had a successful couple of years with their female football pathway which saw the inclusion of their under 18 Youth Girls team, Swan Districts vaule this pathway as an important part of teh future of Women's Football at the Swan Districts Football Club.

The Swan District Women's Team pride themselevs on developing players and getting the best out of each other, with this said they are home to five drafted AFL Women Footballers - Chelsea Randall, Kara Donnellan, Kirby Bentley and Ebony-Rose Antonio (Melbourne Football Club) and Kellie Gibson (Western Bulldogs). With the victorious state under 18 2014 Champions, the squad was made up of 6 Swannies girls; Kellie Gibson (All Australian), Asha Price (All Australian), Ashley Sharp, Gabby Moran, Savanna Schimmel and Courtney Ugle. With our very own Youth Girls shinning bright also, Anika Gillespie representing Division 2 Champions, the Woomeras as well as the all-star Indigenous Kick Start team which saw Kathleen Prosser, Latesha Garlett and Ashleigh Bennett. Caitlin Mann also represented the Swannies at a state 16 School Girls level. The Swan Distrcist are very proud of all their current stars and are always looking at developing more female players in the coming future to followin in the footsteps of those leader of the football club.
